The short version: Nuzzle does not collect, transmit, store remotely, sell, or share any of your data. Everything you put into the app — your pets, care schedules, health notes, weights, journal entries, and photos — stays on your device. There is no account, no analytics, no ads, and no tracking.

1. Who we are

Nuzzle is a pet care and reminders app for Android, published by Nyxelium (app package: com.nyxelium.nuzzle). This policy describes how the Nuzzle app handles your information.

2. Data we collect

None. Nuzzle is designed to work fully offline:

No account or registration is required — we never ask for your name, email address, or any contact details.
No analytics or usage-tracking software is included in the app.
No crash-reporting service is included in the app.
No advertising SDKs are included, and the app does not access your advertising ID.
The app makes no network requests with your personal data — your information is never uploaded anywhere.

3. Data stored on your device

Everything you enter is saved in a local database and local files on your own device only:

Pet profiles (name, species, breed, sex, birthday, weight, photo)
Care schedules, reminders, and care history
Weight logs and health flags
Journal notes and photos
App settings (theme, language, notification preferences, quiet hours)

Photos you attach are copied into the app's private storage folder. Android's cloud auto-backup and device-to-device transfer are deliberately disabled for Nuzzle, so this data is not copied off your device by the system.

4. Backups you create

You can export your data at any time (Settings → Data → Export backup). This creates a single file on your device and opens the standard Android share sheet. Where that file goes is entirely your choice — Nuzzle never sends it anywhere itself. Anyone with access to an exported backup file can read the data in it, so store it somewhere you trust.

5. Permissions the app uses

Notifications — to show the care reminders you schedule.
Exact alarms — so reminders fire at the exact time you set.
Camera / photos — only when you choose to add a pet or journal photo. Photos are picked through the Android system photo picker or camera and are stored only on your device. Nuzzle does not browse your photo library.

6. Data sharing and selling

We do not share, sell, rent, or trade any user data with anyone — because we never have it in the first place.

7. Deleting your data

Your data is yours to remove at any time:

Delete individual pets, tasks, or entries inside the app;
Erase everything via Settings → Data → Clear all data; or
Uninstall the app — this removes the database and all stored photos.

8. Children's privacy

Nuzzle does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. The app contains no ads, no social features, and no external links directed at children.

9. Changes to this policy

If a future version of Nuzzle ever changes how data is handled — for example, by adding optional, privacy-respecting crash reporting — we will update this page before that version is released and revise the "Last updated" date above. The Google Play Data safety section will always reflect the shipped app.
